At Cutting Edge Yard Service, we understand that keeping your lawn looking great is very important. We take this very seriously and instill this same idea into the talented people that we hire to work for us. We work mainly with homeowners or residential customers as we like to call them, but increasingly we are finding that local businesses like our services also and so we have more commercial accounts now than in any other time in our history.
For those that dont’ know, our business is actually the merger between two companies from years ago. Brad Thompson and Rick Groeninger had their own lawn care businesses and decided that if they merged that together they could build a bigger and better company that serviced a larger area and also allowed each previous owner to utilize the strengths that each had. Brad has become the out in the field guy and for the most part Rick has become the organizational and paper work part of the business. This has worked out well for both individuals as this merger of each person’s strengths and weaknesses has led to a very solid company with an incredibly solid foundation.
Of course the final part of a standard lawn mowing is to make sure that all the clippings are properly hauled away or blown out of site. We just HATE the looks of a freshly mowed lawn that has visible lawn clippings on the sidewalk, or in the driveway or inside of landscaped areas. This just looks very unsightly and unprofessional and of course is not the way that we do things or allow our staff to do things.
In addition to the mowing services we also do the fertilization and weed control. We hate weeds! I think all of our customers do also. There are many things that need to be done on a seasonal basis to keep a lawn green and free of weeds, crabgrass and harmful insects. That is why we offer a “full” package that includes seasonal treatment with the proper chemicals and nutrients to your grass green and growing properly as well as keeping away those harmful insects that can destroy your yard.
We also do those other lawn care items that while not near as common, are still a very important part of growing thick green grass. Lawn aeration is one of those services that pops up in my head right away. If your grass is thin and not as green as it should be, then aeration is definitely something that you should consider. The process involves removing small “plugs” of soil from a yard. This allows air and moisture to better soak into your soil. When the soil becomes too compacted, then the conditions to properly grow grass are not ideal. This is when aeration makes a lot of difference.
There are also a myriad of other items that we do including, mulch supply and delivery, landscape maintenance, pruning, new shrub planting, seeding, downspout elongation and the list goes on.
